At the Nature and Education Center of the Karkonosze National Park, two interactive exhibitions await you: "Climate Karkonosze" and "Sobieszów Palace".
The "Climate Karkonosze" exhibition includes six large thematic rooms.
In this very impressive and original way, you can learn about, among others, the geological history of the formation of the Karkonosze Mountains and see the rocks and minerals from which this mountain range is built. The rooms are arranged in a mysterious and slightly futuristic atmosphere. A great advantage of the entire "Climate Karkonosze" exhibition is that you can touch and experience everything directly, making the visit engaging and highly educational.
The "Sobieszów Palace" exhibition The exhibition located on the ground floor of the palace building invites visitors on a journey through time. Its purpose is to present the history and genealogy of the Silesian Schaffgotsch family. In the manager's office, visitors can familiarize themselves with copies of original estate documents.
In the Forestry room, visitors can experience how hard the Karkonosze lumberjacks worked in the old days. In the next room, through viewfinders in a specially built stereoscope, guests have the opportunity to observe representatives of local nature - on old graphics and contemporary nature films. The last exhibition room tells about the Karkonosze National Park, which - overseeing the lands of the former count's estate - has in a way become the heir of the Schaffgotsch family.
